What is AWS WAF?

AWS WAF (Web Application Firewall) is a Layer 7 firewall that monitors and filters incoming HTTP/HTTPS requests. It protects web applications against common web exploits (such as SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting, and bot traffic) before the request reaches the ALB, API Gateway, or CloudFront.
