What is OOM killer?

💬Answer

The Out-Of-Memory (OOM) killer is a kernel daemon that acts when both physical RAM and swap space are completely exhausted. It calculates badness scores and automatically terminates processes consuming high memory with low priority to prevent the entire operating system from crashing.
