Q18

What is a Correlation ID, and how does it help reconstruct logs across multiple microservices?

💬Answer

A Correlation ID is a unique identifier attached to an incoming HTTP request at the API Gateway. As the request calls downstream services, it passes the Correlation ID in HTTP headers, allowing log aggregation tools to group logs from different services to reconstruct the entire execution flow.
